Registration process step 1 (ICD)
Who is ICD?
If you were educated as a psychologist outside of Canada and the United States and want to apply to practice as a psychologist in a participating Canadian jurisdiction, you must first apply to the Credentials Evaluation Service at ICD, a division of CGFNS.
It’s a secure and direct method for internationally educated psychologists (except for those licensed in the United States – see Canada & US-Educated Applicants) to have their credentials verified and authenticated. The process is designed to confirm your identity and that your education and work experience satisfy requirements for practicing in Canada.
ICD verifies and authenticates your identity documents, academic and professional credentials, and psychologist employment. We then prepare a report, which you must review and authorize before we can send it to the ACPRO participating jurisdiction you’re applying to. Once the ACPRO participating jurisdiction receives the report, you will then be contacted regarding next steps.
